Museum Seminole is fortunate to have a world-class museum. The Jasmine Moran Children’s Museum is a one-of-a-kind facility built for children, although adults are welcome. Visitors from almost every country in the world, and every state in the continental U.S. have come to Seminole to see our crown jewel. Our oil history is exhibited in the Seminole Historical Society Museum; and Native American history is told and displayed in the Seminole Nation Museum. Lakes Sportsman’s Lake lays six miles east of Seminole and offers visitors and vacationers a variety of activities. The lake is owned by the city and offers boating, fishing, camping, covered pavilions, playground areas, tables, grills, and travel-trailer hookups. A 20-mile equestrian trail is open year-round. Additional facilities include 12 campsites, picnic tables, electric and water hookups, and newly added restrooms with showers. Use policy is on a first-come first-serve basis so reservations are not necessary and fees are nominal. For more information call 405-257-3600. Golf Courses Deals big and small have been made on one of the top 18-hole golf courses in the state located in Seminole. The Jimmie Austin Golf Course is open to the public 365 days of the year and plays host to numerous gold tournaments. Sports A winning tradition is alive and well in Seminole, Whether it is tennis, baseball, softball, football, soccer or basketball there is a place to play or practice. Six lighted baseball and softball fields are used 8 months of the year for spring and fall seasons, also 24 public tennis courts are available. A private tennis club, Twin Lakes Racquet Club, offers lessons by tennis professionals. Whatever your sport there is a place to play in Seminole. Movie Theatres Seminole is the home of Strother Twin Cinema. First run movies, low rates, group rates, special matinee showings and a clean, safe atmosphere add to the success of the theatre.
